Wedding of Jacklyn and John 9/2/2009  This past Saturday we had the pleasure of shooting a wonderful wedding of Jackie and John! The house was filled with flowers, mak e-up and excited bridesmaids when I arrived. After some candid shots of the decor and preparations we headed upstairs for a few portraits of the Bride and her bridesmaids. Jackie looked radiant. At the same time the groom has arrived at the church  and Ashley (our second photographer) was taking pictures of John and his groomsmen. The ceremony at the Olde Saint Andrew's Church was very touching. Although Jackie and John have known e ach other for a while, they looked more in love than ever! The rain has threatened our formal outside shoot after the ceremony, but miraculously as the wedding party bus pulled up to Bristol Park, the rain has stopped. The reception was held at the beautiful Brookside Manor. Congratulations Jackie and John!  Graduation Portraits. 7/24/2009  Besides doing graduation portrait session at our studio and on location, we are the official photography studio for Bambi Day Care Center and Red Lion Elementary School, where we cover portraits, candid photos and events throughout the year and graduations in May. So, these past months were busy ones for us. While child photography is definitely one of my favorites, graduation portraiture is also one of the most challenging events of the year. Just imagine setting up a group of 25 two-year olds for a perfect shot! How about five or six groups like that? For individual portraits we could definitely get away with a lot less variety in posing, but I am a perfectionist and I refuse to limit the parents to one or two photos. So, we usually end up with 10-12 images per child, plus couple of enhancements and a collage. I also try to include a few shots with siblings and even best friends. It is in essence a mini photo session for each child. So it may be a little over the top, but the parents love it and the kids seem to have fun too!   Baby in the belly... 6/23/2009  I am sure all Dads-to-be are quickly realizing how very important it is to make future Mommies happy. But besides the obvious hunger satisfaction and plenty of relaxation time, what else can you do? Well, apparently, many of us forget about such important thing as self-image. Yes, Mommy-to-be needs to feel beautiful, just like anyone else and, while many women enjoy their pregnancy, you would be surprised how many are insecure about their look. It is important to encourage and compliment them all the time. I always recommend pamper packages and definitly a photoshoot to make them feel like stars. Recently I had such a shoot with Kristina who was getting ready to give birth within the next couple of weeks. "You made me look so beautiful" she said afterwards, but I replied: "I did not do anything. You are beautiful and I just captured it for you." Kristina gave birth to a baby girl, Catherine, on June 5th, 2009. Congratulations! I can't wait to see her and the baby in our studio again!   Wedding of Nicole and Brian 6/5/2009 On May 30th Gene (A&G Picture This) and I covered a wedding of Nicole and Brian. While Gene photographed the bride at her house, I got to meet Brian and his buddies at the church. They were a lively group, which made them easy and fun to shoot. Once Nicole has arrived (on a very cool looking limo bus) we proceeded into the church for the ceremony. The reception (held at the Southampton room) was even more fun, filled with dancing, family group shots and some silly candids. Congratulations Nicole and Brian!   Wedding of Ana and Marinel 5/30/2009  On May 24th our crew of 5 people (2 videographers and 3 photographers) headed down to Ana's house for the pre-ceremony candids. It was a beautiful warm day and the bride was glowing with happiness. After some shots of the bridal party, parents and kids, we concentrated on the bride and groom. We got to witness and capture a great mix of the American and Yugoslavia  n traditions throughout the day. After the ceremony and a few formal shots by the church, we made our way to the reception, which was held at the Celebrations banquet facility. Besides wonderful outside shooting locations, the facility offers even more scenic spots inside. During the reception we sneaked away with the newlyweds for a few romantic shots. This was surely a day to remember for Ana and Marinel and we are very happy that we had a chance to capture those memories for them. Congratulations!  |
